You heard that right! Many Bendigo families are eligible for the Child Dental Benefit Scheme (CDBS) through Medicare.

This fantastic Medicare scheme helps to give eligible children a dental allowance, meaning that they can get Dental services free of charge until their benefit runs out.

How do I know if I am eligible?

You can call our friendly dental team on (03) 4210 0352 and we can run a quick check through our system! All you will need is your Medicare card details.

You can also check your eligibility online or by calling Medicare.

To be eligible your child must:

  • be on Medicare
  • be between 0-17 years of age
  • receive an eligible government payment (see further info on https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/who-can-get-child-dental-benefits-schedule?context=22426)

What happens if I'm eligible?

You will get $1158 of dental cover every 2 calendar years. This can be used on common dental dental procedures including:

  • check-ups
  • x-rays
  • extractions
  • fillings
  • fissure sealing
  • root canals

Dr Sam Green is our bubbly family dentist who is especially great with children. She makes visits to the dentists easy and fun for children, and we highly recommend securing a spot with her if you are covered by the CDBS and within the Bendigo region.

Call (03) 4210 0352 to book your CDBS appointment, or book online!
