Most good things cost money. We can’t get a good car, a good house or anything worthwhile without spending money. How many of us can afford a house/ a great car etc. with outright payment ?
We have to rely on finance options for most things that are worthwhile.
Dental health is no different, especially when we have neglected it for many years or decades and extensive reconstructive work is required.
But maintaining dental health is very important (though it is not cheap) because our oral & dental health is very intimately connected with our general health.
At Whitehills Dental Practice, we believe every patient deserves quality dental care. That’s why we offer a wide range of payment options to help you and your family get the treatment you need.
Our dental team will happily assist you with financial planning and answer any questions you have about insurance, health funds or our other payment options.
Cash and Credit Cards
We gladly accept both cash and credit cards at the time of service.

Afterpay
With Afterpay, you can split your treatment costs into four interest-free instalments, giving you the flexibility you need to afford quality dental care. Signing up is easy; all you need is an email, phone number, address, date of birth and credit or debit card.

Zip Pay
If you’re at least 18 years old and have a credit or debit card, Zip Pay offers a credit limit of up to $1,000 for dental expenses. This interest-free loan allows you to repay your balance weekly or monthly. You’ll receive a digital Visa card to pay for dental treatment online or in person.

Humm
When you have a Humm account, you can spend up to $30,000 on dental or other expenses. Humm offers interest-free loans to permanent Australian residents who are at least 18 years old and meet their credit assessment criteria.

Openpay
Openpay makes it possible to receive necessary dental care by offering interest-free installments to its customers. You can use the handy Openpay app to manage your account, view your balance and budget for upcoming dental care.

Zip Money
Zip Money is a line of credit that helps borrowers pay for large purchases such as dental care. You can borrow from $1,000-$5,000 by applying directly, and you’re guaranteed an interest-free period of three months on all purchases. Just provide your bank details and a few other documents to see if you qualify.
The stress of paying for dental care can weigh heavily on many people, leaving them torn between their health and their finances. At Whitehills Dental Practice, we understand the burden this can create, so we offer flexible payment options to ensure your smile doesn’t come at the cost of your peace of mind.
We'll do our best to make quality dental care accessible and affordable for everyone.

What to Bring to Your First Appointment
- Current prescription list or medications — Knowing every medicine and dosage helps us avoid drug interactions and tailor anaesthetics or antibiotics safely.
- Medicare card — Essential if you intend to claim a Child Dental Benefits Schedule rebate on the day.
- Healthcare or private health extras card — Swipe-and-claim at reception to minimise any out-of-pocket cost for eligible dental services.
- Photo ID and referral letter (if applicable) — Helpful for new-patient records or when another provider has requested specific treatment.
- Any recent dental x-rays or mouthguards — Bringing these can prevent unnecessary imaging and give us a clearer baseline of your oral health.
By gathering these items before you leave home, you’ll spend less time filling out forms and more time discussing treatment goals with your dentist.
